  • 4 Cups Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 Cup Butter

  • 2 TBSP Lemon Juice Fresh is best
  • 2 Tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes Or, more . . .
  • 2 Tsp Mustard Powder
  • 1.5 Tsp Fresh Cracked Black Pepper

  • Place vinegar, sugar, ketchup, butter, hot pepper sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper flakes, mustard powder, salt, and pepper into a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over high heat, then reduce heat to low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes. Remove from the stove and pour into a heat-proof bowl. Cover and refrigerate the sauce for 2 days. It's worth the wait!!
  • If desired, strain your BBQ sauce through a mesh sieve to remove red pepper flakes.
  • Use at room temperature
